Encased in Ice and Snow

The last day and a half have just been glorious. Waking up early to check the portal and then wondrously crawling back in bed. Eating yummy biscuits and gravy and playing Phase Ten. Just enjoying home sweet home.

I ventured out today into the sparkly, glittery world. Took some pictures, and then tried to unbury the snow and ice-covered cars. Investigated a large branch of a tree that crashed down in our neighbor's yard. Came inside to unthaw my toes. (My dad's rain galoshes are not good snow boots!) Enjoying a milky cup of hot chocolate with a candy cane. Sigh - life is good.

I love the photo journal of the ice storm! And I love Rhapsody in Blue. It somehow seems to go with the snowy glimmery pictures

I bet your brother enjoyed rubbing in the fact that HE got another day off from school and you didn't. Lol!

Nice pictures! I took a few myself, but didn't have time to get a whole lot.

yes, i love the pics! i am so disappointed that i didn't make it out with my camera before the ice all melted off of the trees, but i'm glad you were able to! i really like the one that you put on the background - good job!
we just might have to plan a day when we can get together with our camera's and go to some of the photographic sites around the city!
