PE -- Final Field Day

Here are a few pictures from Health and P.E. Methods. For our final, we went to Eden Park and taught each other picnic/field games (we had to teach "different" games -- it couldn't be the regulars - softball, volleyball, soccer...). We had a great night. Rachel and I taught water balloon volleyball. Rachel played while I passed out the water balloons. We had had trouble with the balloons bursting (cheap dollar store balloons) so I knew we didn't have very many, so when one off-course balloon came flying through the air at me, I thought I would try to catch it. The picture below shows the results of my brave attempt to save the water balloon. :)

Excitement on our Road

Currently at my household, we are suffering from severe Spring fever. We are all about worked/stressed out to the max, hence ordinary happenings prove suddenly humurous like when a state trooper pulled over a car on our road (which hardly ever happens!) You'd think we had never seen a police car before... we're peeking out the windows and taking pictures -- oh the excitement. You should have heard us as the policeman was patting down the suspect and then promptly led him into the back of the patrol car. My dad says we need to watch more TV -- he wasn't very impressed with the arrest. I told my brother that he should go out and knock on the policemen's window and ask him if he would sponser him in his walk-a-thon. This statement caused my mom to go into a fit of laughter which recently sounds like she's been smoking a couple packs a day. It's crazy around here.

MUCH WORK IS MAKING US MAD!! :-)

My dad says that this month will be the longest ever. We are all desperately ready for a break and vacation. Lord willing on June 6, 2008 we will be rolling down the highway in my papa's Tundra to Hilton Head Island (my first time!!)

Well gotta run -- much to do!

For clarification -- my mother doesn't smoke. She is sick with some kind of sinus infection (I think.) Ok - now I'm done.

The Great Outdoors

I don't know why, but Spring has been especially beautiful to me this year. The trees are amazing...splashes of purple and white against the leafy mass of green. I feel like I'm driving through paradise every day. God's creation is so beautiful!!

Once again I'm going to spend my afternoon outside doing homework (and trying not to fall asleep.)

Tomorrow is the picnic. Forecast: Mostly sunny. High 81 degrees. Perfect.

Taxes are DONE

I actually like tax time. Since I'm not exuberately rich in the world's goods, the government sees fit to repay some of the money that was taken from me! :)

I drove through the sunshine in the pouring rain.

Well, I was nine years old, in fourth grade, enjoying my little group of friends

1.) Tidy my room -- my aunt and uncle and cousins will be here soon!
2.) Read -- homework that is!
3.) Write down my schedule and assignments for next week.
4.) Decide on what song I'm going to sing Sunday morning.
5.) Start finding the papers I need to do my taxes!

1.) Procrastination/Time-wasting -- Mr. Glick's message was for ME!
2.) Letting my imagination go -- I set myself up for disappointment sometimes.
3.) Continual snacking!! (It's dangerous!)

I'm HOME

It is 2:46 p.m. and I am still in my pj's. I just had a grilled cheese, chips and dip, and a piece of eclair cake. I got to bed about 2:30 in the morning because I just got back on band tour. And once again, I had a blast! It was too short. It was a wonderful tour, and God helped us so much! I have a lot of fun memories being with everybody!! Well, I can't get my pictures to load for some reason. :( So I guess I need to shower, do homework for tomorrow, and get ready for my kid's class. Here are a few results from Band Survey 2008:
